Lake Louise -
Alberta
Canada's largest single ski area, Lake Louise's wide open
bowls offers some of the lightest, driest snow in all of North
America. With four mountain faces, 4200 skiable acres, and 113
named trails, Lake Louise has been rated "the best super steeps
in the country" by Ski Canada Magazine. There are green, blue
and black runs down from every chair which allows beginners to
experience all that Lake Louise has to offer. Guaranteed skiing
from early November to mid May.
Purcell Mountain Lodge
- Canadian Rockies
Accessible only by helicopter, Purcell Mountain Lodge is
situated at 7200 ft. atop the high alpine slopes of Bald
Mountain, set in British Columbia's largest alpine meadow, and
adjacent to Glacier National Park. Purcell Mountain Lodge is
one of North America's finest eco-retreats, surrounded by
thousands of acres of pristine wilderness. Purcell Mountain
Lodge offers backcountry skiing, cross country skiing,
telemarking and snowshoeing.
Whistler/Blackcomb -
British Columbia

Panorama Mountain
Resort - British Columbia
Located in British Columbia, but situated close to Calgary,
Alberta, and Banff, Panorama Mountain Village offers over 2,847
patrolled acres, over 4,000 vertical feet and over 120 trails
serviced by 9 ski lifts. South of Kicking Horse, Panorama
Mountain Resort is one of the Canadian Rockies' up-and-coming
premier vacation destinations. Known for its high percentage of
intermediate, advanced and expert runs, Panorama also has an
abundance of glade skiing.
Kicking Horse Resort -
Golden, BC
Just 48 miles west of Lake Louise between Kootenay and
Glacier national parks in the town of Golden, at the tail of
the Purcell Mountains. Incredible views, with 2,750 acres of
terrain, 70 trails and 4,133 vertical feet, Canada's second
biggest after Whistler/Blackcomb. Nearly half the terrain is
rated “advanced. The longest run is 10 miles. Originally a
locally-run day-skiing area, Kicking Horse was bought out by a
large corporation intent on turning the resort into one of the
largest ski areas in North America.
Big White Ski Resort -
near Kelowna, BC
More than 118 runs and 16 chairlifts, Big White Ski Resort

Quebec
A short one-hour drive from Montreal, Mon-Tremblant offers

Le Massif - Quebec,
Canada
Less than an hour from Quebec City sits Le Massif, in
Quebec's Charlevoix region and one of Quebec's best kept
secrets. Le Massif has the highest vertical drop in eastern
Canada at 2,526 feet, along with 302 Skiable acres from 5 lifts
and 43 trails and glades. The longest run is 2.67 miles. Open
for skiing from November to April, Le Massif is unusual in that
the area is accessible both from the top and from the base.
Other winter activities at Le Massif include cross country
skiing, snowshoeing, snowboarding, and ice climbing. You can
find lodging in the Charlevoix, Côte-de-Beaupré and Quebec City
areas.
