Bretton Woods
Bretton Woods, NH

Bretton Woods has now become the largest ski area in New Hampshire. With over 430 acres of skiable terrain, Bretton Woods boasts:

  • 31% beginner, 41% intermediate, 28% advanced terrain
  • 200 inches of average snowfall
  • Resort child care for children 2 months and older

Bretton Woods is known as a great place for families, having been ranked as the #3 resort in North America for its excellence in family programs in the October, 2007 issue of SKI Magazine. The ski season is typically from Early November to Early May.


Cranmore
North Conway, NH

Cranmore, located outside downtown North Conway and operating for over 60 years, offers numerous activities for children, while at the same time offering the adults plenty as well, including night skiing. They boast:

  • 1,200-foot vertical rise 
  • 36% beginner, 44% intermediate, 20% advanced terrain
  • 200 plus skiable acres
  • 96 inches annual snowfall

Another draw for families is "Cranapalooza," nighttime festivities on Saturday nights from late December through mid-March beginning at 2PM. These festivities can include fireworks, magicians and puppets, face painting, hypnotists, live entertainment, hot chocolate and s'mores around the fire pit.

Waterville Valley
Waterville Valley, NH

With 60% intermediate terrain, Waterville is great for the intermediate skier. Not only that, but Waterville also has The Boneyard, a snowboarding park which is one of the best around. It boasts:
